Leaf A Legacy
Well, it's official: Kate Forman Illustration will be painting a leaf for the Dutchess County, New York "Leaf A Legacy" public art project. Funds raised will benefit the agency Abilities First, which serves developmentally disabled adults and children. I am very, very, happy and honored to be part of such a positive artistic celebration!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
'I write it out in a verse --
MacDonagh and MacBride
And Connolly and Pearse
Now and in time to be,
Wherever green is worn,
Are changed, changed utterly:
A terrible beauty is born.'
W.B. YEATS
Spring - 1916

Happy Valentines Day...
Even after all this time
the sun never says
to the earth,
"You owe me."

Look what happens
with a love like that,
it lights the whole sky.

- Hafiz
Persian Poet, 1300s

Futuristic Illustration
My cartoon depicting a time travelling granny will be in the next edition of the Graphic Artists Guild newsletter...thinking it might be funniest to Terry Pratchett fans, though.

Descriptions...
Ah-ha moment of the week: listened to a graphic designer extolling the virtues of hand made art, and recognized his two favorite adjectives as being about my work too...personal and emotional!

Subway Sketches
Alot of my inspiration comes from the people I sketch while riding the subway (I don't have any bus sketch-ability, too bumpy.) I just started a "Subway Sketchbook" on my facebook fan page, and I'm looking forward to adding more...
